ABOUT
Dr. Robert Kent

I serve as President and CEO of Western Reserve Hospital, Northeast Ohio’s only private, for-profit full-service hospital. I also maintain an active primary care practice, and serve as president of Western Reserve Health Partners (the investor group that founded Western Reserve Hospital), president of Unity Health Network (a large multi-specialty practice) and president of Premiere Medical Resources (a physician management services organization) – all of which are Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based. Additionally, I serve as Chairman of the Ohio Independent Collaborative, a coalition that brings together nearly 900 primary care providers and specialists, who collaborate on initiatives that will improve clinical quality, patient care and access to providers. Together we provide care for nearly 1,000,000 patients, spanning from Canton to Cleveland to Sandusky and all the areas in between. Currently I serve as Chairman of the Akron Regional Hospital Association Board of Directors and as a Board Director and Chair of the Provider Relations Committee for the Akron-Canton Area Agency on Aging.
I am proud of my selection as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year recipient, and being honored as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know
I earned my undergraduate degree at Saint Ambrose University, my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Des Moines University, and completed an Internal Medicine Faculty Development Fellowship at Michigan State University. I am a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
